Hello, it has been a long time since I had any questions and / or problems!
I have a program which sends emails (among other things because it is a connected hive) and which works very well with a W5500 Ethernet Shield but not with a w5100 shield ….

With the W5100 after successfully sending 2 emails the shield crashes …
While with the W5500 (from KeyesStudio) no problem I can send as many emails as I want …
Has anyone ever had this problem and know how to fix it?

        Thank you

PS: it is exactly the same program except that I replace the W5500 by a W5100! All with an Arduino Mega and Renzo’s super libraries!

          Hi Gilles,
can you send me the code you use and the library version.
          Bye Renzo

ok I sent you the complete program of my hive on your orange.fr mailbox because I think it would not be too readable on the site!
And in addition I left personal information: my email addresses (but not the password), access to my Thinkspeak account, …

My version of your library that I use is version 2.2.0 (according to the readme.md file)

            Thank you

Hello, I tried to space out the sending of the 2nd e-mail of 13 hours between the first and the second mail.

It didn’t change anything after sending the second e-mail the W5100 Ethernet shield crashes (only for sending mail) .

I tried with several w5100 Ethernet shields the problem is always the same, I just have to replace the W5100 with a W5500 and it works fine …

I also noticed that although the shield W5100 can no longer send an email I can still access its web server stored in the Arduino … connect to google!
              Still a mystery to me!

                Hi Gilles,
Update the library to the last version (now 2.4.3); there are some memory fixes than retry.
                Bye Renzo

I updated the Emailsenders library 2.2.0 to 2.4.3 and I redid my tests with a W5100 (I did not try the W550 again (I would do it a little later)): this works nickel (finally I sent 5 emails without crash)

                    Thanks again for everything!

PS: have you ever looked at my program (especially on the part sending emails)?

                    What do you think?
Is there anything to correct or improve?

                    Thank you

                      Hi Gilles,
no sorry, not yet, I hope next week I put on my Eclipse Sloeber and check It.

Can you write here a description of the program?
It will be very usefully when I’ll go to examine It.

                      Bye Renzo

I just sent you an email on orange.fr with a description of the content of my program.
If you want more details let me know!
                        thanks again

Hi, for further information, the 2.2.0 library on a W5500 Ethernet Shield crashed after sending 6 emails instead of 2 emails on a W5100.
(which took longer to detect …)

I continue my tests with the 2.4.3 library which seems to have corrected this problem.

                          Thank you
