Cheers to 7 Years: Wrapping Up 2025 and The “Seven Year Itch” 🎄🎉

Spread the love

As the final days of 2025 fade away (hopefully smoother than an LED fade-effect), I find myself looking at the calendar and realizing something incredible: Mischianti.org is officially 7 years old!

They say the “seven-year itch” is when things get difficult, but for us? It was just another year of debugging, soldering, and occasionally asking, “Why is that chip getting so hot?”

This year has been an absolute whirlwind of innovation and troubleshooting. Before we jump into 2026, let’s take a moment to laugh at our struggles and celebrate our victories.

2025: The Year of “Smart” Everything

Looking back at the chaos of 2025, we really pushed the boundaries of what hobbyist electronics can do:

  • The RISC-V Revolution: We embraced the new architectures (ESP32-C6, anyone?). We learned that just because the code compiles, doesn’t mean the pinout matches.
  • AI on the Edge: We tried to cram Artificial Intelligence into tiny microcontrollers. Sometimes it recognized our voice commands; other times, it just turned on the blender at 3 AM. We call that “Machine Learning with character.”
  • The Eternal LoRa Struggle: We continued our quest for long-range communication. We learned—yet again—that physics is stubborn and that antennas actually need to be connected to work.

A Massive Thank You to Our Partners

This ecosystem thrives because of the incredible support from our industrial partners. They provide the hardware that allows us to turn our “back-of-the-napkin” ideas into professional-grade reality.

A huge shout-out to the pillars of 2025:

  • PCBWay: For turning our shared projects into a reality and fueling the community with rapid prototyping.
  • JetBrains: For powering our code with their incredible suite of software (generously provided to me for free!) and for supporting the community with 3-month free coupons.
  • NextPCB: For the reliability and the rigorous checks that save us from embarrassing design flaws.
  • Elecrow: For the displays and kits that bring our interfaces to life.
  • Reyax: For supplying those hard-to-find components that make the magic happen.

And to all the other sponsors who have supported us this year: thank you for keeping the lights on (and the soldering irons hot).

To The Community: The Real “Mischiantians” (more than a million 😮)

To you, the readers, the forum posters, and the commenters: Thank You.

Whether you are here to copy-paste a library or to debate the nuances of deep-sleep power consumption, you are the soul of this site. Thank you for your curiosity, your patience with my tutorials, and your resilience when the “Magic Smoke” escapes.

Hello, 2026!

The new year stands before us like a blank sketch in the Arduino IDE. It’s full of potential, waiting for us to write the code.

I promise you more tutorials, more reviews, and yes, probably more compilation errors to solve together.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 2026!

Here’s to another year of creativity, connection, and properly decoupled power supplies.

With gratitude, Renzo mischianti.org
